Learn about your voice

Do you struggle with the tension of holding a deep desire to sing in one hand while the other hand holds a belief that you aren’t good enough or even capable?

OR

Do you absolutely LOVE to sing and are ready to embrace and learn about those baffling parts of your voice?

Hi, that was me too,

and I am very passionate about helping people, of all walks of life and skill levels, discover what they are capable of when it comes to singing.

My Philosophy

Singing can feel effortless but getting to effortless singing requires various levels of effort & awareness to hardwire those habits into the body.

Everyone. And when I say everyone I mean EVERYONE is capable of making a pleasant sound. (unless they are in the very rare and small population that has tone-deafness also known as Amusia.)

Voice lessons are for everyone, even voice teachers! It’s always good to have a second set of ears on your singing. It doesn’t mean that making a pleasant sound comes easy for everyone. For some people, it comes so easy to sound beautiful that they almost seem like they are from another planet. Those people can also benefit from voice lessons.

My role as a teacher & coach is to help singers explore the edges of their voices and achieve their individual goals. I like to do that by sharing different ways to perceive sounds and sensations heard and felt in the body and by doing my very best to provide the right exercises that work for the individual.

When you study with me,

We will:

  • Use my professionally trained ears to assess your voice and identify if and which body mechanics and mindsets are keeping your voice from optimal function.

  • Create a custom mix of exercises that support you in and outside of lessons with an understanding of what these exercises are for.

  • Approach & refine the basics of sound production: breathing, intonation, articulation, and vocal balance throughout your range.

  • Challenge performance fears.

  • Grow artistic intuition for writing, recording, and performing { if that’s your thing! }

  • Increase confidence, baby!
